As we enter our 51st year
of operations, we naturally look back at our performance in the year ending
March 2007. New Plant – DJR Delux
Bearings Ltd., Pune The
single most import high point for the
year was the commencement of manufacturing operations at DJR Delux Bearings Limited, Pune. DJR Delux Bearings
Ltd., is a joint venture between Delux Bearings Ltd., & Amul-Galaxy Group, Rajkot. The project
broke ground on 30th March 2006 and within a span of only 11 months, we
commenced commercial production on 14th March 2007. Our State-of-the-Art plant has a capacity of manufacturing 4
million Angular Contact Ball Bearings for the Car and Truck Industry. We are also well equipped to meet the needs
of GEN-NEXT Car Industry requirements. Sales Performance
06-07 Financial
year ending 31st March 2007 saw a growth of 25% sales in all segments of our
business of Automotive And Textile Components. We clocked sales of Rs. 75.00
crores and have targeted a triple digit turnover for the year 2007-2008.For
07-08, we are investing Rs. 10.00 crores in Research Centre and
Capacity Expansion. Marketing Initiatives Our
group companies viz Delux, Luxite, KCI introduced 40 new products in the
Automotive and Industrial Applications Sector. Our Engineering initiatives
helped us acquire Tier 2 OEM Customers.Our Toll Free Number 1800 233 4444
has brought us into contact with all our Dealers, Tier 2 Customers thus
Widening our customer contact and penetrating the market in consumption
centres.Exports will continue to receive our constant attention as we expand
our customer base in West Europe, North and Latin America.We are confident
that these initiatives will help us meet our targeted turnover. Staff
Training During
the year we conducted product knowledge workshops for our sales team from all
over India at our manufacturing Plants and Ahmedabad office. This translated in 5 man days training for
our frontline sales and service teams.We thank all our Customers, Suppliers
and Team Members for their wholehearted
support in achieving our targets and I look forward to All of us working
together to achieve new milestones in the new year and also in the years to
